Glo & Ray are a new brand that I have just recently discovered and I am massively impressed with their products! Here's a review to introduce you to the brand and show you the make-up styles I've made with these three beautiful pieces!
Glo & Ray are a relatively new brand that launched back in 2012. Their products are all of a really high quality and look so luxurious! As I've shown you in my header picture, the products come in gorgeous black boxes made of corrugated card and the products themselves match with their simple black colour. The items all look really sleek, sophisticated and a lovely addition to any make up kit.
First off, let's talk about mascara!
This is the Infinite Lash Definition Mascara in shade Black (11). My first thoughts were just how slender it felt compared to my normal chunky Rimmel and Maybelline products. This actually works really well because I feel it gives you have more control over the wand - you get a better grip. The wand and the brush itself is likewise a lot thinner than what I'm used to, but I was really excited to see what effect this might have on my lashes.
With just a few swipes of the mascara my lashes were instantly transformed. I really hope you can see from the picture above just how impressive the length is that you can achieve with this product. Also the shade is such a true black - it really gives your eyes definition. I think having the thinner brush minimizes clumping as you don't have too much excess product on the wand. I'm definitely converted!
Now let's talk about eye shadow.
This is the Mirage Longwear Mousse Eye Shadow in the shade Ecru Land (450) which is a stunning colour that I've never had before in my make up collection. It comes out as quite a gold colour with a hint of silver - look at the picture below to see what I mean. The eyeshadow has a gorgeous subtle shimmer, which I just love for this time of year.
The website describes the product as having a "seamlessly silky texture" and I completely get what they mean - it's so soft and just glides over your eyelids. The website also suggests blending colours and I think the consistency of the shadow would make this really easy.
I've attached a couple of pictures of one way of wearing this shadow. In this look I've just blended a small amount of bronze-coloured shadow into the crease and then applied liquid eyeliner to the top lid. The mascara in these pictures is the Glo & Ray mascara I spoke of earlier.
Lastly, I'm going to tell you about a stunning lipstick from their La Amo Creamy Matte Lip Colour range. I have the shade 'Coral Whisper' (615).
Once again, the packaging is just so smart - I really love it. The pigmentation is fantastic so a single coat just transforms your lips. As I've mentioned before, matte products are often incredibly drying, but this lipstick is so moisturising - it's been a few hours since I last applied this to my lips and they still feel hydrated and soft. In terms of the matte finish, there is still a slight sheen with this lipstick when you first apply it, but I honestly think this is just because of the creamy nature of the lipstick. Once it has soaked in to your lips you're left with a gorgeous matte look which is so fashionable at the moment.
As you can probably tell by this blog post, I really am so impressed with the Glo & Ray cosmetics and would encourage you to have a look at their website to learn a bit more about some of the other products that are available. I've inserted a list of links below so that you can have an explore!
