Nadeballa: Day Reviving Cream

I love companies that have a bit of history - not only does it make them more interesting, but it also shows their expertise is good enough to last them through the years. Nadeballa is a company that has spanned four generations. It began with the Nadeballa great-grandmother, Dinas, who created the recipe for the original cream around 83 years ago, but it wasn't until a few years ago that the family started to sell the creams as a company. They're now shipping worldwide and the range now includes the 'Daily Reviving Cream', the 'Night Replenishing Cream' and the 'Rich Night Replenishing Cream'.

It's an inspiring story, but one of the most impressive aspects of the Nadeballa creams is how they're made and what they're made from. Read on to hear all about it and my experience...

Like I said earlier, the creams are based on the homemade recipes that have been developed over the four generations of women behind Nadeballa, but that's not all... The creams themselves are freshly home-made, too, and are made in small batches to ensure the best quality possble. As the creams are completely fresh, they do have a shorter shelf-life - in fact if you look on the base of the pots you'll see the batch number and a 'best before' date. The shorter shelf-life of 6 months is more than enough time to get through a face cream and, in reality, it's a small price to pay for a top-quality, luxurious product.

Nadeballa is focused on nature and, for that reason, their creams are made using 99% natural ingredients and are not tested on animals. The cream that I've been trying is the 'Day Reviving Cream' and so I'll quickly talk you through some of the ingredients to give you an idea of how they use the best of nature. The first ingredient is orange blossom water - which just sounds so refreshing and soothing for your skin! The second ingredient is sweet almond oil, packed full of vitamins E and B and great for hydrating and strengthening your skin. Alongside these two, the cream also contains avocado oil - full of vitamins and anti-oxidants, lanolin and beeswax! Just from looking at this list, you can tell it contains a perfect combination of nourishing ingredients.

So now let me tell you about how the cream wears! As you can see from the picture above, the cream is a pure, light yellow cream. The consistency is light, but a little really goes a long way and is very easy to blend over your whole face. Although this is a day cream, I've actually been using it both morning and night. In the morning I'll apply a thin layer. When you first apply it, your skin will look shiny - but this is just because the product is still resting on the surface. I usually give it about a minute to sink in and you'll see the shine fade away in the process! It's then easy to go ahead and apply your make-up on top. It's a great cream to 'wake-up' your face - especially when you're still feeling the tiredness! In the evening, I put on a thicker layer so that it can sink in over night to give me some intense hydration! The reason that I decided to use it as a night cream as well was solely because of how impressed I was from my morning uses. I noticed when taking my make-up off after a long day that my make-up had not gone patchy in my normally dry areas - in fact, these areas were surprisingly supple and not flakey at all! If you're someone that suffers with dryness then this cream will work wonders for you.

I've now been wearing this cream every day for the last few weeks and my skin is feeling beautifully soft and hydrated. I really can't recommend it enough.
