BlanX Teeth Whitening Toothpastes

As a typical Brit, who drinks far too many cups of tea each day, I'm always paranoid about staining my teeth. Bright, white teeth are so fashionable - you can't turn on the TV or open a magazine without admiring someones sparkling smile - but I've always been scared of the different whitening treatments that I've come across in terms of how harmful they might be to my teeth. A lot of teeth whiteners work by stripping the outer surfaces of your teeth (basically removing part of the stained enamel) which can leave your teeth really vulnerable to sensitivity. For this reason, I was so excited when I found a non-abrasive range of teeth-whitening toothpastes from Blanx! I've been using these products for a couple of months now, so I wanted to let you know how I've been getting on and what I think of this range! Read on to find out more...

Intensive Whitening Treatment

The BlanX Intensive Whitening Treatment comes in a toothpaste form - making it so easy to use. All you have to do is brush your teeth twice a day like normal for two weeks, but use this toothpaste instead of your regular one. The whitening action actually has a natural basis in that it uses an arctic lichen formula. The lichen helps to combat stains on your teeth, but also acts against bacteria and tartar in your mouth to maintain your oral hygiene. Non-abrasive silica microparticles are used to give deep, but delicate cleaning. This low-abrasion whitening method means that the treatment is suitable for sensitive teeth. Additionally, like any good toothpaste, it helps to protect your gums and leaves you with lovely fresh breath!

Following the instructions, I used this toothpaste day and night for two weeks. Due to it being a treatment, I was expecting it to smell and taste disgusting - but I was pleasantly suprised! It honestly just seemed like a really minty toothpaste! Also, as you might be able to see from the picture, the toothpaste has a pump dispenser which is really handy.

In terms of effectiveness, I really do think using it for two weeks made a difference. The pack comes with a 'BlanXometer' - a colour chart - so that you can track your progress. and I definitely saw a transition! Although my teeth didn't become extreme white (which I would never have expected, or wanted) there was a massive reduction in the yellow tones of my teeth. It left my teeth looking a more natural lighter shade, that was really even across all of my teeth.

This was just my first time trying the treatment and so I was really impressed at how it reduced any yellowness. I can't wait to try the treatment again to see if I can get up a couple more steps on the BlanXometer!

When you're not using the treatment, you're advised to use BlanX non-abrasive toothpastes to maintain your whitened teeth - so I've tried out a couple of these!

Advanced Whitening Toothpaste

The Advanced Whitening toothpaste is ideal for anyone who has recently whitened their teeth and wants to maintain them. Equally, even if you haven't whitened your teeth - this is ideal to use to give your teeth a more subtle, whitening action over time. Just like the treatment, it comes with a pump dispenser and you get 100ml of product.

Intense Stain Removal Toothpaste

As I mentioned earlier, I'm an avid tea-drinker so the stain removal toothpaste was right up my street! Again, most stain removal products are abrasive, but this BlanX toothpaste is completely non-abrasive whilst still giving you intenseive stain removal. It uses the combination of lichen and bamboo powder to remove daily stains caused by smoke, food, drinks and plaque deposits. This toothpaste is safe enough for daily use - so if. like me, your lifestyle has its effects on your teeth - this might be one you want to try!

If you're looking to whiten your teeth, it's so important that you look for a safe option that isn't going to damage your teeth in the long-run. I would highly recommend BlanX - I suffer from sensitive teeth, but have had no trouble with these products at all... so they're definitely gentle, whilst still being effective. They also have a toothpaste specifically for sensitive teeth and an 'anti-age' toothpaste as well.
