Fearne: From Dusk 'Til Dawn Eyes

Today, I wanted to share with you a little gem of a palette that I have in my make-up collection. Some of you may recall that Fearne Cotton launched a make-up range with Boots. Although I'm often a bit cynical when it comes to celebrity and cosmetics collaborations, I'm a huge fan of Fearne and, when I saw this palette, I just couldn't resist. Read on to see lots of pictures and hear about my feelings on the palette...

The palette, entitled 'From dusk 'til dawn', is composed of three gorgeous shadows - a light brown, a pastel green and a taupey brown. All three of these colours have a subtle shimmer to give a pearlescent effect on the lid. Fearne created both a 'day' and 'night' edition of this trio. As you can probably guess, I chose the 'day' palette and the colours really are fitting for a neutral, everyday look.

My first impressions of this palette were just of utter awe. The beetle design is so unique, but, also, so gorgeous! I rarely, if ever, see these kind of imprints in eyeshadows, so it definitely adds a nice touch. The size of the shadows is also a massive plus. The large pans make for easy access to the shadow and minimal mess. In fact, you actually get 6.5g of product - which, for three shadows, is pretty admirable.

The quality of the shadows is great. As you can see from the picture above, all three are wonderfully pigmented with just the right amount of shimmer. The powder itself is picked up very easily on a brush/finger, but, equally, doesn't result in huge amounts of fall out! The perfect balance. You'll also find that that these shadows are very blendable, which is great as whether I'm going for a more muted look or a vibrant look I'll always encorporate neutral shadows in some way.

All-in-all, I'm very impressed by this eye shadow trio. I think it's ideal for creating a smart look for work or even just for a casual everyday look. All you would need is these three shadows to create a stunning effect.

The style of the palette is so unusual and creative that it would make the perfect gift for a make-up lover. How could you resist those little beetles?!
